Susan Herron
Susan Herron has been involved with music and the arts her entire life.  She began singing early, with her first solo in church at the tender age of 3!  Susan’s formal arts training began with dance at the age of 2 and continued through high school.  Susan began playing piano at the age of 6 and later began clarinet and voice lessons throughout her school years. She graduated from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC where she studied piano under Dr. George Lucktenburg and voice under Dr. Perry Daniels. During her years of formal training she received various awards, including TV appearances with the SC Piano Teachers Association, All-State band honors, and a full scholarship to Brevard Music Camp.

Susan’s love of all types of music led her to positions as a singer/dancer with Paramount’s Carowinds during college, and as a performer aboard the cruise ships of Royal Caribbean Cruise Line immediately following graduation.  After completing a year with the cruise industry, Susan relocated to Rock Hill where she met her husband of 17 years. They have three children and are active members of First Baptist Church, Rock Hill where Susan’s activities include the adult choir, contemporary service praise team, soloist, children’s choir director, assistant leader of the youth choir, and co-leader of the women’s ministry praise and worship team.

Susan is a certified Kindermusik educator.  She teaches pre-school music for Westminster Catawba Christian School in addition to offering private piano lessons through the Westminster Academy of Arts.  Susan is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her love for music and children with your family through Kindermusik.
